During the Production stage of our project we needed to
have some practice with the camera and the shots prior to filming our teaser trailer. For this reason we went out in our spare time to film our camera techniques as listed below. These shots will be analyzed with our storyboard which will help us on
the day of shooting our trailer. This was done in order to give us an indication of which shots would work most effectively and have an impact hat will increase the tension in our teaser trailer.

The still image constructed by Michael to display examples of camera techniques.
These are still images that show the type of shots we can use in our trailer, but specifically our still imaged media products, poster and magazine.
This would help us analyze the most creative and impacting shot to use, as with still images only one shot is going to be taken so every emotion, convention, stereotype and other desired effect.
This is supposed to be demonstrated through the one image. So by selecting the right shot angle we would be able to achieve the best image displaying the desired overall look and sending the desired message to the audience.

Camera Techniques Video
By using the camera techniques to guide us we were able to broaden our knowledge of camera shot types, movement and angle. This allowed us to use more impacting final shots for our trailer and produce more impacting.
The Creativity Of The Tracking & Crabbing Shot
![Picture](/uploads/1/3/6/7/13676414/1437141.jpg?323)
The tracking shot was improvised as with a tracking shot the camera needs to be stationary yet being moved with a track or an alternative. Seeing a trolley it was decided that would be the best alternative as it had wheels and if the camera was held steady enough, besides some minor shaking due to the trolley rumbling because of the surface the shot we took would qualify as a tracking shot.
By using an alternative we demonstrated understanding that the requirements of a tracking shot, and displayed that we are able to follow the actions of professional film companies through how high quality the shot was. The exact same applies to our crabbing shot as they are the same type of shot movement, just in a different direction, shooting in a different direction. So the quality of our tracking shot too reflects just as equally on our crabbing shot. This same type of quality due to use of equipment to film shots can be reflected in our steady cam shot as well.

What were our gain?
At the end of this process we now have sufficient skills with the camera to go and record our trailer giving it a unique edge through the use of various camera angles, movements and shot.
Gaining this experience will allow us to use different camera angles, shots and movements for the build up in out trailer. This will benefit us greatly as due to the limited number of shooting days there is not enough time to pull off the perfect shots through its content, so we need to make the shots we take more effective through the camera techniques we use. We have gained more confidence in our knowledge of shot types, movement and angles that can be used allowing us to film our trailer to its fullest potential. An example is our plan to use a our last part of the jump scare as a close up so that the make up and contacts combined with the speed of the shot will cause a jumpy effect catching the viewer off guard.
